Assistant Coach: Zahra Jackson

EMAIL

Zahra is a graduate of Manhattan College, completing and earning a bachelors of science in Physical Education. She just received her Masters in Athletic Administration from Ohio University. Currently, she is teaching K-4th grade PE at Prospect Sierra School. Zahra has been playing volleyball since 6th grade. She moved up to the varsity team mid 8th grade year and started her freshman year. She was captain and MVP senior year in high school. Although she really wanted to play in college she unfortunately could not because balancing academics and athletics would have been a challenge for her.

Instead of playing in college she decided to start coaching her sophomore year. She has not looked back since. She has now been coaching volleyball for 9 years. She has plenty of knowledge of the sport both physically and mentally, and understands the skills and techniques used to be a great coach. She is very excited to be coaching with the Golden Bear again, and eager to train and get your daughter ready for the next level.
